Hey, thanks for your feedback! That's really stupid when something like that just happens ... then I can't seem to avoid a visit to the workshop. Can you still remember the repair costs? I'd like to know what I have to expect. And has anything else happened since the control unit was replaced? Have you had any other incidents with your Renault Megane? Thank you in advance!

Hey, no problem, that's what forums are for! Well, it wasn't cheap for me, I can tell you. The fun with the control unit cost me €1000 - I really had to swallow. But since then everything has worked perfectly, no more back and forth with the displays. And literally the light at the end of the tunnel: the light switch, which used to be a bitch, has been working perfectly since the visit to the mechanic. I haven't really had any more problems since then. My Megane has been running for a few years now without any major incidents. Hopefully you'll get your Clio running again soon! Keep your fingers crossed, buddy!

Hey, that really is a relief! Sure, €1000 isn't exactly small, but at least it's a one-off and not a constant stream of new problems. And it's great to hear that you haven't had any more incidents since! Since I'm pretty sure of my light switch, I just hope it works out similarly for me. Your words have definitely helped me, thanks for that! I'm going to contact my garage now and hope everything goes smoothly. Thanks again for your help! See you then, buddy!

Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2017 Renault Megane, it was a real headache! In my case it was the control unit. The gauges were pretty crazy and it was definitely not the light switch. Obviously the control unit had a fault and needed replacing. That really was a lot of work for the mechanics in the workshop. But since then everything has been running smoothly again without any problems. So, if you notice similar symptoms, it could also be due to your control unit. A visit to the workshop would certainly help you. Hope this helps you!
