Linea Control Unit Programming Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Fiat Linea is experiencing electrical issues, including error messages and a non-functional navigation system, suspected to be due to a control unit programming problem. Diagnostics indicated a software issue, but recalibration was ineffective. The suggested solution is to have a professional reload the control unit software, which may also reveal any underlying hardware problems. The repair is estimated to cost around 240€.

Yeah, I ran diagnostics, but the errors are vague, just saying it's a software thing. I haven't tried loading new software myself. Could a recalibration fix it, or is it more involved?

Recalibration didn't do it for me. I'd say take it to a shop and have a pro reload the control unit software, but that's just my opinion. They can also tell if there's a hardware problem messing with the software.

Thanks for the heads-up. The shop said the control unit programming was messed up, and it'll be around 240€ to fix. Sounds like I have to do it. Appreciate the help!

Sounds rough! I've got a Linea too, though I don't remember the year. I had similar electrical issues and the infotainment system went nuts. Did you try any diagnostics or check for new software?
