Linea Ignition Problems
Summary of the thread
A 2007 Fiat Linea is experiencing rough running, stalling at idle, a check engine light, and jerking during acceleration, suggesting ignition issues. Diagnostics point to a possible bad ignition coil or connection. It is recommended to inspect the cable and plug connections to the ignition coil for looseness or corrosion and consider the condition of the spark plugs, although they were recently replaced. If the problem persists, consulting a technician is advised due to the complexities of diagnosing ignition issues.

Thanks! Can you give me more detail on the connection issue you had? Was it corrosion, a loose connection, or something else? Spark plugs were replaced about 10,000 km ago.

In my case, it was a slightly loose connection and some corrosion on the plug. Given that your spark plugs are relatively new, I'd strongly suspect the coil or its wiring. Honestly, if you're not comfortable doing the work yourself, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. Diagnosing ignition issues can be tricky.

I'll check the coil connections. Given the potential complexities, I'll probably get a technician to look at it to be sure. The repair cost amounted to 95€.

I had similar issues with my Linea. Check the cable and plug connections to the ignition coil first. Those are usually the culprits. Also, when was the last time you changed your spark plugs? A failing spark plug can also trigger similar symptoms and the check engine light.
