Looking for help and mechanic recommendations for Renault Avantime 2003: Engine running rough and black smoke when accelerating

Hey guys, can you perhaps help me? I drive a Renault Avantime built in 2003 with a diesel engine and already 124430 km on the clock. Lately, my car is giving me some headaches: the check engine light comes on, the engine has power loss and runs rough, there is jerking when accelerating, the car dies at idle and black smoke comes out of the exhaust when accelerating. I think this could be a problem with the intake manifold swirl flaps. Has anyone here had any experience with similar problems and can perhaps recommend a good mechanic? I didn't have a good experience at the mechanic last time and hope to do better this time. Thanks in advance!
