Lova Check Engine Light and Stalling
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Chevrolet Lova owner experienced a check engine light and stalling issues, suspecting a connection to the emission system. After checking the gas cap, the problem persisted. A suggestion was made to inspect the tank ventilation valve, as clogged hoses or a faulty purge valve in the EVAP system could be the cause. The owner took the car to a mechanic, who confirmed the issue was with the tank ventilation valve and clogged hoses, resolving the problem.

Interesting, I haven't checked that specifically. Where is that valve located, and is it easy to get to? Also, I don't think I'm losing fuel. Could clogged hoses cause the valve to malfunction?

Yes, clogged hoses are a likely cause. I had the same problem. I recommend taking it to a workshop. It's a bit tricky to get to without the right tools. A mechanic will know exactly what to do.

Thanks! I took it to a mechanic, and you were right – it was the tank ventilation valve! They said the hoses were clogged. Repair cost was 175€. Problem solved!

I had a similar problem with my Lova. Did you check the tank ventilation valve? It might be a purge valve issue or something with the EVAP system. Are you losing fuel?
