Lova engine control problem
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Chevy Lova with a gasoline engine won't start, and the owner suspects an ECU issue, but also notes poor battery cable connections. A similar problem was resolved by addressing a corroded connection in the wiring harness. Cleaning the battery terminals and connections didn't solve the issue, leading to the decision to take the car to a workshop for professional diagnosis and repair.

Yeah, voltage seemed okay. But a bad ground is a good point. I'll double-check. When yours wouldn't start, did the check engine light come on, and was it throwing any codes related to ECU failure?

Yep, check engine light was on, and it was throwing ECU issue codes like crazy. Honestly, after messing with it for a bit, I just took it to a workshop. Turned out to be a corroded connection somewhere in the harness. Saved myself a headache.

Thanks for the tip! I cleaned up the battery terminals and cable connections, but still no luck. I'm gonna take it to a shop tomorrow. Sounds like chasing down wiring gremlins isn't worth the hassle. They fixed it for 155€!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Lova. Engine light came on, and it wouldn't crank. Did you check the voltage at the battery terminals themselves? Could be a bad ground.
