Lova Fuel Sensor Issue

I've got a 2015 Chevrolet Lova with a gasoline engine that's giving me some trouble. The check engine light keeps popping on, and the engine sometimes stalls when I'm idling. I scanned it and there's an error related to the fuel level sensor. Anyone else experienced this? I've checked the gas cap, but no luck. Could it be a faulty sensor, or is there anything else I should look at before taking it to a mechanic? The car has 206998 km.

Summary of the thread

A 2015 Chevrolet Lova with a gasoline engine was experiencing a check engine light and stalling issues, with a diagnostic error pointing to the fuel level sensor. The initial troubleshooting involved checking the gas cap, which did not resolve the issue. Suggestions included inspecting the fuse related to the fuel level sensor, which was found to be defective. Replacing the fuse resolved the problem, clearing the error code and restoring normal engine function.

That sounds suspiciously like a fuel sensor issue. Is there a fuse for the fuel level sensor on your Lova? If so, have you checked if that fuse is still good? They sometimes go bad without any obvious reason. But with those km on the clock, wouldn't rule out a sensor on its way out. Did it stall out of nowhere - was it a hot day or a full tank? Does the car have trouble starting?

Good point about the fuse - I should check that. Where would I find the fuse for the fuel level sensor, and is there anything specific I should look for when inspecting it? I don't think the engine stalls are related to weather. And yes, sometimes it takes a few tries to start the car, especially in the morning.

Okay, so the starting issue might point to a fuel delivery problem, which would reinforce the fuel sensor theory. As for the fuse, check your owner's manual – it should have a diagram showing the fuse box layout. Sometimes they're in the engine compartment, sometimes under the dash. If the fuse looks fine, unfortunately, you are likely looking at a faulty sensor. Since it is starting to have difficulty and stalls, the car should be looked at by a professional, rather than doing it yourself.

Thanks for the advice! I checked the fuse box as you suggested, and it turned out the fuse for the fuel pump was indeed defective. Replaced it, code cleared, and everything seems to be running smoothly again. Cost me 52€ for the fuse and the check. Appreciate the help!
