Low Coolant Level Citroen SpaceTourer

Hi, I have a 2020 Citroen SpaceTourer, diesel engine, with 163111 km. The check engine light is on, and the error memory indicates a low coolant level. The coolant reservoir is significantly below the minimum. No visible leaks, and the engine temperature seems normal. Could this be a simple case of topping up, or is there something more going on?

I had a similar issue with my SpaceTourer. A low coolant level triggered the engine light. I initially just topped it up, but the light came back on after a while. Did you check around the cooling fan or radiator for any signs of dried coolant? Sometimes the leak is small and hard to spot.

Thanks for the tip! I did a quick visual inspection around the radiator and the cooling fan area, but didn't notice anything obvious. How long did it take for the light to reappear after you topped up the coolant? Did you experience any other symptoms, like the engine overheating?

For me, the light reappeared after about a week of normal driving. No overheating issues initially, but I was constantly checking the coolant level. Given that you can't see any leaks, it might be worth getting a pressure test done on the cooling system. Could be a hairline crack somewhere that's only leaking under pressure, or a more serious issue, like the head gasket. I took it to a workshop, and they found a small leak in a hose. Better safe than sorry.

Appreciate the advice. Based on your experience, I'll take it to a workshop for a proper inspection. They did a pressure test and found a small leak in the cooling system, total cost was 52€. Hopefully, it's just a minor issue like yours.
