I haven't inspected the cable and plug connection yet. Could a defective connection really cause both the low heating output and the error code? Is there a way to test the connection?

Yes, a defective connection can certainly cause both symptoms. The error code indicates a malfunction within the system monitored by the connection. Inadequate power or a disrupted signal will affect the valve's operation, hence the low heat. Testing the connection requires a multimeter to check for continuity and voltage. Considering your intermediate expertise, I recommend consulting a qualified workshop to avoid further complications.

Appreciate the advice. I brought the Nissan to a workshop based on your suggestion. You were correct; the cable connection to the water valve was defective. The repair cost 95€ Thank you!

It's possible the water valve is defective, but the symptoms also suggest a potential issue with the valve's electrical connection. Have you inspected the cable and plug connection for any signs of damage or corrosion?
