LX Parking Aid System Failure

Experiencing issues with the parking aid system on my 2015 Lexus LX diesel. The dashboard displays a generic error, and the error memory confirms a fault. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection. I've checked the ultrasonic and blind spot sensors. Any insights?

Hey! I drive an LX too, and I actually had something similar happen a while back. My parking sensors went haywire out of nowhere! Was yours working fine before, or has it been intermittent?

Thanks for the quick reply! It was working perfectly fine until very recently; then, suddenly, the system failed completely. It almost seems as if a fuse blew or something disconnected, but I couldn't find any blown fuses. Did your issue present similarly, or were there any specific sensor malfunctions noted?

Yeah, mine was a sudden failure, too. I didn't mess with it too much because these systems can be pretty sensitive. Ended up taking it to a shop and they fixed it fast. Could be a radar sensor acting up or something similar. Best to let a professional have a look, I reckon!

I appreciate the advice! Considering the potential complexity and the diagnostic time involved, I think you're right. I've booked an appointment with my local trusted workshop. They diagnosed a defective plug connection on one of the parking sensors. The repair cost me 95€. Thank you again for your help!
