Thanks for sharing your experience! My mileage is currently at 10034 KM, and I just had my last service about two months ago. Haven't noticed any other electrical issues, it's just the infotainment system acting up. Good to know it was a straightforward fix for you, I'll definitely get it checked at the dealer soon. Really appreciate the cost estimate too, gives me a better idea of what to expect!
Hey again! Ah, that's really low mileage on your Macan! My Cayenne had about 45,000 km when I faced the issue. Since your car is newer and has lower mileage than mine was, it might actually be something simpler. I just remembered, before I got my antenna replaced, I tried a basic troubleshooting step that might help you: I disconnected the car battery for about 15 minutes and then reconnected it. Sometimes these systems just need a full reset. In my case, it didn't solve the problem (hence the antenna replacement), but it's worth a try before heading to the dealer! Also, since you mentioned the recent service, did these issues start before or after that service? Sometimes these problems can pop up after routine maintenance if something wasn't properly reconnected. Keep me posted on what you find out. I'm curious if it's the same issue I had or something different!
Thanks a lot for the battery reset tip, that's definitely worth trying before I head to the dealer! And you make a good point about the timing... now that I think about it, the issues actually started about a week after my last service. I'll definitely mention this to them when I go in. Maybe something got knocked loose during the maintenance. I'll give the battery disconnect method a shot tonight and let you know how it goes. If that doesn't work, I'll schedule an appointment with the dealer. Really appreciate all your help and suggestions! It's always good to hear from someone who's dealt with similar issues. I'll update this thread once I figure out what's causing the problem. Thanks again!
Hey there! I had a very similar issue with my 2019 Porsche Cayenne last year. The symptoms were exactly the same, complete infotainment failure and no radio reception. Turned out the main antenna was defective and needed replacement. Took it to my local Porsche dealer, they diagnosed it pretty quickly. The whole repair, including parts and labor, cost me around 255€. They had it fixed within a day, and everything's been working perfectly since then. What's your Macan's mileage? Have you noticed any other electrical issues? This could help pinpoint if it's really the antenna or something else. Best of luck!
