Hey, thanks for sharing your experience! That sounds exactly like what I'm dealing with. I've been worried it might be something more serious, but hearing that yours was just a wiring issue is reassuring. Do you remember roughly how much you ended up paying for the repair? And has everything been working smoothly since then, or have you noticed any other electrical quirks?

Hey again! You're welcome! I just wanted to follow up and let you know that after getting my Cayenne fixed, everything has been working perfectly fine, no more electrical gremlins with the seats at all! The total repair came to 95€, which covered fixing the faulty cable connection under the seat. Honestly, it was a relief that it wasn't anything more serious. The mechanic cleaned up the corroded connections and made sure everything was properly secured, and I haven't had a single issue since then. I've put quite a few miles on the car since the repair and the seats work just like new, full functionality is back, no more error messages, and all the adjustment features work smoothly. It's nice to have everything working properly again, especially since I use those seat adjustments pretty much every time I get in the car! Let me know if you need any other info, happy to help!

Thanks so much for all the info! I actually went ahead and got it fixed yesterday at a Porsche specialist you indirectly helped me find. You were spot on, it was indeed a wiring issue! The mechanic found some loose connections and a bit of corrosion under the seat, just like in your case. The whole thing cost me 120€, which wasn't bad at all considering how worried I was initially. The mechanic was super professional and even showed me what was causing the problem. They cleaned up all the connections and made sure everything was properly secured. Just drove it today and the seats are working perfectly, no more error messages or weird behavior. Such a relief! Thanks again for sharing your experience, it really helped me make the right decision instead of stressing about potentially major repairs. Sometimes it's the simple things, right? Take care!

Hey there, I've actually dealt with something similar in my 2019 Porsche Cayenne last summer. The power seat started acting wonky, showing error messages and sometimes not responding at all. Turned out it was just a faulty connection in the wiring harness under the seat, some cables had worked loose over time and weren't making proper contact. My local Porsche specialist found that one of the plugs wasn't properly seated anymore and had some corrosion. They had to clean the connections and secure them properly. It wasn't a major repair, but you definitely want someone who knows what they're doing with the electrical systems on these cars. A certified Porsche tech or a specialist who regularly works on Macans/Cayennes would be your best bet. In my case, it wasn't serious but needed proper diagnosis to avoid damaging other electrical components. Try to find someone who specializes in Porsche electrical systems, they'll have the right diagnostic tools and experience with these specific issues. Hope this helps!
