Malibu Auxiliary Battery Issue

I haven't checked the voltage yet, but that's a good point. Where exactly should I measure to get an accurate reading? And what voltage should I be looking for in both states?

Given your description and the potential complexity of the charging system in modern vehicles, it would be prudent to seek assistance from a qualified technician. The presence of error codes and electrical malfunctions suggests a deeper issue than just a simple battery replacement. A workshop can properly diagnose the issue and ensure correct repair. The estimated cost will be around 290€.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a workshop, and you were spot on. It was indeed a charging issue with the auxiliary battery. New battery installed and everything is working fine again!

Your symptoms point to a potential issue with the auxiliary battery or its charging circuit in your Chevrolet Malibu. Have you checked the voltage of the auxiliary battery when the engine is running, and then again when it's off? A significant voltage drop could confirm your suspicion that the battery isn't being charged.
