Mark X Brake Booster Pressure Sensor Failure

My 2012 Toyota Mark X with a gasoline engine is showing a brake booster pressure sensor failure error on the speedometer. Braking is diminished. Diagnostic tools confirm the error. I suspect incorrect brake bleeding. Anyone seen this?

I had a similar issue on my Mark X. Check the pressure sensor itself and the wiring. It might be a simple fix.

Thanks! Could you give me more specifics? Was the error message the same, and did you also have reduced braking? Any diagnostic codes you remember would be great.

Yes, the error was similar, and braking was definitely affected. I'd recommend getting it checked by a professional workshop to be on the safe side.

Shop confirmed the brake booster pressure sensor failure. The brake system had been bled incorrectly, causing the sensor to fail. Replacement and recalibration cost 90€, and vehicle safety is restored.
