Mark X engine issues

My 2017 Toyota Mark X gasoline engine with 176290 km is having issues. The check engine light is on, it runs rough and stalls at idle, and there's jerking during acceleration. Could a defective fuel pressure sensor be the cause, maybe a cable or plug connection issue?

Mark X, eh? I had similar symptoms not too long ago. Rough idle, check engine light... Sound familiar? Was your fuel economy also terrible? Maybe you also experienced engine misfires or trouble with the fuel injector?

My fuel economy has worsened, and the symptoms you describe are consistent with what I am experiencing. Did you resolve it yourself, or did you seek professional assistance?

I attempted some basic troubleshooting, but eventually I had to take it to a workshop. Turns out the fault was the fuel pressure sensor, the cable was defective. They fixed the connection and cleared the fault codes. The repair cost me 95€. I hope this helps.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I will consult a workshop to diagnose the fuel pressure sensor. It's reassuring to know a potential cause and remedy. After the repair the car runs like new again!
