The issue revolves around a malfunctioning massage seat in a 2013 BMW X5 Diesel. The problem could potentially be due to the massage seat switch, faulty wiring within the seat, or a problem with the seat's motor or control module. Hello, thank you very much for your quick reply and your help! That's really interesting and helpful to know that it was the wiring in your seat. Can you remember how much you paid for the repair? And have you had any other problems with the seat since then? Many thanks and best regards!

Hello, no problem! The last time I went to the mechanic, the massage seat switch was broken. However, this was quickly fixed and since then everything has been working great with the seat. As for the cost, the fuse was faulty and it cost me €52 to fix it. So it wasn't that expensive compared to other repairs. Hope that gives you a little idea of what you might be looking at. Greetings back!

Hi there! It might be the massage seat switch causing the issue. I would definitely try checking the fuse and wiring connections first. If you still have problems, consider seeking a second opinion from another mechanic. Good luck!

It's great that you're planning to have the whole seat system checked. If the issue persists after checking the fuse and wiring, it could be a problem with the seat's motor or control module. These are more complex parts and should be inspected by a professional mechanic. Remember, even though it's not a safety issue, a malfunctioning seat can be a distraction while driving.

Hello, I also drive a BMW, but an X6 from 2016. I had similar problems with the massage seat some time ago. At first I thought it was the switch, but after a visit to the workshop it turned out to be the wiring in the seat. Seems to be quite a common problem with these models. It didn't affect driving safety, but it was still annoying. So even if you think it's the switch, it's better to have the whole seat checked. Hope this helps you. Greetings!
