Massage seats in the 2015 Ford Kuga no longer work: looking for experience and advice on repairs

Hi guys, I have a problem with my 2015 Ford Kuga (petrol, 72931 km run). The massage seats no longer work. I think the massage seat switch might be faulty. Have any of you ever had a similar problem and could tell me about your experience with the repair? I would be grateful for any information, especially as I had a rather bad experience the last time I visited a mechanic. Thank you in advance!

Summary of the thread

The massage seats in a 2015 Ford Kuga have stopped working, and the suspected cause is a faulty massage seat switch. A similar issue with a cable connection/plug defect was resolved in another vehicle by replacing the cable connections and plug, suggesting a potential solution. The repair was relatively straightforward and inexpensive, providing reassurance that the problem might not be serious.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Hello, I drive a 2012 Ford Mondeo and once had a similar cable connection/plug defect, but not with my massage seats, but with my power windows. The windows simply wouldn't move. As far as I know, this was not a serious problem, but rather a common one. My mechanic had to replace the cable connections and the plug. It was done relatively quickly. It could be the same in your case, but of course I'm not a professional. In any case, I wish you every success in solving the problem with your car. Hopefully it's nothing serious.

Hey, thanks for your reply. That sounds pretty straightforward and reassures me a little. Can you remember what you paid for the repair at the time? Did anything else come up after this repair? I'm just asking to prepare myself for all eventualities. Thanks again for your help!

Hey, no problem, always happy to help! I paid €95 for the repair of the defective cable connection/plug back then. But nothing else has come up since then, so so far everything is working great. Regarding your massage seat: it worked again after the visit to the mechanic, the faulty switch was the problem and it was replaced. I hope this helps you and you have as much luck as I did. Good luck with it!

Great, thank you for the detailed information! This will definitely help me and make my next visit to the garage easier. I hope that it won't be more expensive for me and that it really is just the switch. Wish me luck, guys! Really a relief to hear your opinions and stories. See you next time!
