Master boost pressure sensor issue

I'm experiencing a problem with my Renault Master (2020) diesel. At 248474 km, the check engine light is on and I have noted jerking during acceleration, accompanied by a whistling and loud hissing sound when accelerating. Additionally, the engine occasionally stalls at idle, fuel consumption is higher, and engine power is clearly reduced. Could a defective boost pressure sensor be the culprit? My initial suspicion is a defective cable or plug connection.

Hey, I had similar symptoms with my Master. It was really annoying with the hissing sound and the jerking. Have you checked for any error codes? Seems like your turbo system might be involved. Turbocharger, intake manifold… that sort of thing. Is the whistling constant, or just when the turbo kicks in?

Thank you for your input. The whistling noise seems to increase with the acceleration. What was the issue in your case? Was it indeed the turbo boost pressure sensor?

Well, it turned out to be the boost pressure sensor indeed. But honestly, I didn't dare doing that repair myself. It's a bit fiddly, and you really don't want to mess with the turbo system. If you're not 100% sure, I recommend taking it to a workshop. Better safe than sorry, right? They can diagnose it properly and replace the sensor. Could save you a lot of headache in the long run.

Thank you for the advice. A defective cable turned out to be the problem. The repair of the boost pressure sensor cost 95€.
