Master Engine Stalls at Idle

I'm experiencing an issue with my 2004 Renault Master diesel. The van has 63844 km. Recently, the check engine light came on, and the engine stalls at idle. I suspect it might be the tank ventilation valve. The hoses connected to the valve might be clogged, causing a pressure imbalance. Has anyone encountered something similar with their Master?

I had a similar issue with my Master. Check the purge valve and the hoses connected to it. Is the fuel cap sealing properly?

When you say 'similar issue', do you mean the stalling and the check engine light, or specifically the EVAP system malfunction? Also, regarding the fuel cap, how can I effectively test its seal?

Yes, stalling and the light. As for fuel cap, listen for a whoosh of air when you remove it, otherwise, it's difficult to check. Honestly, I'd take it to a workshop, EVAP issues can be tricky.

Understood. I inspected the fuel cap, and it seems to be sealing adequately. Given the complexity of the EVAP system and potential sensor issues, I'll take it to a trusted mechanic. It ended up being clogged hoses; the repair cost 175€. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.
