Master fuel sensor fault

My 2004 Renault Master diesel is throwing a fit. Check engine light's on, it stalls at idle sometimes, and the error memory keeps logging a fuel level sensor fault. It's done 214615 km. Anyone seen this before? I've checked for obvious wiring issues but no dice. Could it be a fuse?

I had almost the exact same thing happen in my Master! Drove me nuts for a while. Same symptoms – light, stalling. I’m not an expert but maybe it is the fuel sensor. Did you check the sensor itself?

I've poked around the sensor wiring a bit, but haven't pulled the sensor itself yet. Was yours definitely the sensor in the end? Any other weirdness you noticed?

Pretty sure it was the fuel level sensor playing up. To be honest, I'm not mechanically minded, so I just took it to a workshop. They ran some diagnostics and confirmed the sensor was sending dodgy readings. They replaced it and everything was fine again. Best to get it checked.

Cheers for the advice! I'll get the sensor checked out properly. Turns out it was the fuel sensor, as you suspected. A new one plus fitting cost me 52€, and it sorted the issue. The engine is now running smoothly again. Thanks!
