Matiz Active Hood Fault

I'm having an issue with my 2008 Chevrolet Matiz, gasoline engine. The computer says "Active hood fault" and the airbag light is on. The error memory has a stored error, and it seems the spring actuators have been triggered. Any ideas?

Summary of the thread

A 2008 Chevrolet Matiz displayed an "Active hood fault" message and an airbag light, with the error memory indicating triggered spring actuators. Despite no recent impact, the issue was likely due to a faulty sensor. A visit to a workshop confirmed a defective acceleration sensor, which was replaced to resolve the problem.

That sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my old 2012 Peugeot 208. Same error message and airbag light. Did the front of your car take any impact recently?

No, the car hasn't been in any accidents. Could it be a faulty sensor?

In my Peugeot, it was a defective acceleration sensor that triggered the whole system. Since you've had no impact, a faulty sensor is probable. I'd suggest a visit to a trusted workshop.

I took it to the shop and, as you suspected, it was the acceleration sensor. 315€ later and it's all fixed. Appreciate the help!
