Matiz Oil Pressure Warning Light
Summary of the thread
The oil pressure warning light on a 2005 Chevrolet Matiz was illuminated, likely due to a faulty engine oil temperature sensor. The issue was suspected to be caused by a defective cable or plug connection. It was advised to check the sensor's wiring harness near the oil filter. Ultimately, a workshop confirmed a faulty connection and replaced the sensor, resolving the problem.

Could you please specify where exactly this wiring harness is located? I want to check it myself before I bring my car to the mechanic

It's near the oil filter, but honestly, it's a tight space. If you're not comfortable with car electrics, I'd advise getting it checked at a workshop. Could save you more trouble down the line.

Thanks for the advice. The workshop confirmed a faulty connection and also replaced the sensor. Total cost: 95€. Problem solved.

I had similar symptoms on my Matiz. I would check the sensor's wiring harness first. Could be a bad connection there.
