Matrix power steering failure
Summary of the thread
The 2007 Hyundai Matrix experienced power steering failure, characterized by a vibrating steering wheel, spongy handling, and an error message. Cheers! Error's definitely power steering related. Where exactly are these cables and plugs? I'm not super savvy with car bits, you see.

They are usually near the steering rack itself - that's the main part of the steering system. If you are not sure what you are doing, it's best to take it to a workshop. I ended up paying 95€ for them to fix it.

Awesome, thanks a bunch! I think I'll take it to a mechanic. Sounds like you nailed it – loose connection! They charged the same, 95€! All is well!

I had something similar happen on my Matrix. Check the cable and plug connections to the power steering component. A defective connection can cause those symptoms. Is the error related to the power steering?
