Maverick ABS Limp Mode

Hey, my 2006 Ford Maverick diesel is acting up. It's got about 165k km on it. I think it might be in transfer case limp mode. The gearbox is shifting pretty rough. I read online that it might be related to the ABS. Anyone had similar issues?

I had something similar happen on my Maverick. The whole powertrain malfunction light came on, and the traction control was going nuts. Gear selector felt super clunky too. Did you notice anything weird with your ABS?

Yeah, sometimes the ABS light flickers on and off. Did yours do that too? Was it actually related to the ABS module?

My ABS light wasn't really flickering, but the shop said it was throwing all kinds of consequential fault codes. To be honest, I'd just get it scanned at a decent workshop. It could be a number of things messing with the system.

Thanks for the advice! I brought it in, they hooked it up to the computer and cleared all codes. It was some old stored ABS fault that put the car in limp mode. Everything seems fine now and it didn't cost me a thing!
