Maverick Hybrid engine stalls at idle
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Ford Maverick Hybrid experienced engine stalling at idle, with the check engine light on. The issue was suspected to be related to the EVAP system, possibly a sensor or gas cap. Another owner with a similar problem suggested checking the tank ventilation valve hoses for clogs. Upon inspection at a workshop, it was confirmed that clogged hoses were the cause, and the issue was resolved with a repair.

Thanks! Could you say which hoses you mean? And how did you figure out the problem?

I didn't diagnose it myself, I'm afraid. I took it to a workshop, and they told me the hoses were the problem. So I suggest you do the same.

Understood. I took your advice and brought the Maverick to a trusted local workshop. It turned out that the tank ventilation valve hoses were indeed clogged, as you suggested. The repair cost was 175€. I appreciate your help!

I had almost exactly the same issue on my Maverick. Check the hoses for the tank ventilation valve; mine were clogged. Might be an easy fix.
