Maverick Hybrid Generator Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Ford Maverick Hybrid with 36,566 km is experiencing generator issues, leading to reduced engine power, warning lights, difficulty starting, weak and flickering lights, and a full error memory. The problem is suspected to be a defective generator, as battery connections have already been checked. A suggested solution is to verify the voltage drop across the battery terminals when the engine is running, with anything below 14V indicating a charging system issue. The owner plans to have the generator replaced by a mechanic.

Thanks! Could you tell me what voltage readings I should look for? Did your Opel store an error code for the generator or charging system?

I can't remember the exact voltage, but anything below 14V when running meant trouble. And yeah, my Corsa threw a code for the charging system. I took it to a shop, and it was a faulty generator.

Thanks for confirming my suspicions. It's good to know I'm on the right track. I'll book an appointment with a mechanic to replace the generator. The repair will cost around 960€, which hurts, but at least I know what's wrong.

That sounds frustrating! I had something similar with my old Opel Corsa. Same symptoms – power loss, warning lights, the works. Have you checked the voltage drop across the battery terminals when the engine is running? That might tell you if it's the charging system.
