Maverick Parking Aid Failure

Has anyone had issues with the parking aid system on their 2004 Ford Maverick diesel? Mine's done 181201 km and the system is completely dead. Diagnostics say there's a fault, and I'm wondering if it's a cable or plug issue. Concerned about the cost to fix it.

I had a similar problem with my Maverick's parking assist, same error message. Have you checked the ultrasonic sensors for damage or loose connections? A visual inspection might find the problem.

Yep, the parking sensors in the bumper. Since it appeared suddenly, it's likely an internal fault or wiring. If you're not comfortable tracing the wiring, a workshop is best. Mine cost 95€ to fix a faulty connection.
