Maverick Windshield Washer Heater Error

I'm getting an error related to the windshield washer heater on my 2004 Ford Maverick with a gasoline engine. The spray nozzles freeze up in the cold. I've checked the washer motor and wipers and suspect a defective cable or plug. Anyone else experience this?

I had a similar problem on my Maverick. Washer fluid wouldn't spray when freezing. The error code pointed to the heater. Did you check the connections to the washer heater? They sometimes corrode.

Can you be more specific about which connections to inspect? I've visually checked them, but I'm not sure where to start.

For me, it was the plug connecting directly to the washer heater unit. It looked fine, but it was loose with corrosion inside. I fiddled with it, then took it to a workshop. The heater itself was faulty, which saved me a lot of trouble.

Thanks, I'll check the connections more thoroughly. If it persists, I'll see a professional. I went to the workshop, and they said the cable was defective. Repair cost: 95€.
