Maxima brake booster pressure sensor failure
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Nissan Maxima owner experienced reduced braking performance and an error message indicating a brake booster pressure sensor failure. The issue may have been caused by an incorrect brake system bleeding attempt. After inspecting the brake lines and finding no visible issues, it was suggested that the sensor itself might be damaged. The problem was resolved by replacing the faulty sensor at a workshop.

I inspected the brake lines visually and didn't spot anything obvious - no visible leaks or kinks. Is there anything else I should be looking for specifically? How did you eventually resolve your similar-sounding problem?

Since you've already checked the lines, the booster pressure sensor itself is the next most probable cause. However, given the incorrect bleeding, it could have damaged the sensor beyond repair. In my case, I just took it to the workshop. You might be able to fix it yourself but I'd rather let a professional deal with hydraulic brakes.

Thanks for the insight! Took it to the workshop, and it was indeed a faulty brake booster pressure sensor, likely damaged due to my ham-fisted bleeding attempt. Replacement cost me 90€. Appreciate the help in narrowing it down!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue on my Maxima. The symptoms you described mirror what I experienced. Did you check the brake lines for any leaks or damage?
