Maxima check engine light

My 2022 Nissan Maxima with a gasoline engine is throwing a check engine light at 150269 km. Seems like it might be an air valve issue? I'm suspecting a dodgy hose connection from the pump to the valve. Super frustrating!

I feel your pain. I had something similar happen on my Maxima. Check those vacuum hoses, especially around the air intake. Are you having any idle problems or engine stalling?

Yeah, I'm getting some rough idling, especially when the engine is cold. Where exactly should I be looking for these hoses? Any specific areas that are prone to failure?

Honestly, it was a pain to find the leak on mine. It's probably best to take it to a workshop if you can't spot anything obvious. It's likely a cracked or disconnected hose somewhere in the air intake system, leading to the air valve. Cost me around 175€ to fix.

Thanks! Took your advice and brought it in. You were spot on – defective hose connection from the pump to valve. Exactly 175€. Check engine light gone. Appreciate the help!
