Maxima fuel pump issue
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Nissan Maxima with 202,599 km is experiencing starting issues, stalling at idle, a persistent check engine light, rough engine performance, and increased fuel consumption. A diagnostic scan indicates a fuel pump-related error code. The problem is likely due to a faulty connection to the fuel pump, which was confirmed and resolved at a workshop, alleviating concerns of a more significant issue.

Interesting! Fuel injectors, huh? I hadn't considered that, I thought it was an easy one with the fuel pump code. But yeah, the symptoms sound right for it - rough running, poor mileage. How did you troubleshoot your injectors, and how did you fix it?

Okay, so I might have jumped the gun. Upon checking my service records, the issue did stem from the pump. If you're seeing fuel pump error codes and the cable looks fine, I would advise going to a workshop. While it could be something else, with those symptoms it's more likely fuel pump failure.

You were spot on! It WAS the fuel pump! Turns out a connection to it was faulty. The workshop bill came to 95€, which isn't too bad, phew! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction; I was fearing the worst and a much bigger expense!

I also own a Maxima and had similar issues. Rough idling, check engine light, and occasional stalling. Have you checked the fuel injectors? Sometimes they become clogged and contribute to this issue.
