Greetings. I am familiar with the Nissan Maxima, and have also experienced cooling system troubles, though perhaps not identical. What is the recorded mileage and how old is the radiator fan?

Mileage is 207810 km. I'm not sure of the fan's age, it's original as far as I know. Does that sound familiar to your experience?

Yes, that is quite similar to the circumstances I encountered. At that mileage, failure of cooling system components is within expectations. Considering your described symptoms, a visit to a trusted workshop should be made.

Thanks for the insight. I had a mechanic check it out; defective cable connection indeed. Cost 95€. All good now.
