Hey! Sounds like you went through quite the saga with your CX5 there. The ABS/DSC control unit messing up really does sound like a major fix. Do you by any chance remember how much lighter your wallet was after that? And since the repair, has anything else crept up that you didn't anticipate? Would appreciate your input!
Hey there! Oh boy, that fix did create a sizable dent in my wallet, not gonna lie. It set me back by about a cool grand, 1000.00 € to be exact. But hey, safety first, right? And considering how important the ABS/DSC control unit is, I'd say it was money well spent. As for any other surprises post-fix - fortunately, no. Once that error in the lateral acceleration sensor was sorted out and everything was tightened and tuned up again, my Mazda's been running as smooth as ever. You know, I've been driving it like I don't have a care in the world and, touch wood, it's been cooperating beautifully so far! Here's hoping you get your CX3 sorted without too much hassle. Hang in there!
Cheers for the reassurance! I appreciate the in-depth answer. Looks like I've got a fair idea of what I'm in for. I'm definitely not looking forward to the bill, but you're right about safety first. Can't have my CX3 giving me surprises down the line. It's comforting to know that after such a complex fix, there haven't been any more surprises, especially considering how much you've driven it. Well, I'm off to brace myself for the inevitable and visit the dreaded mechanic. Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly. Thanks once again!
Hey! I hear you. I had a similar occurrence with my 2016 Mazda CX5 not too long ago. The ABS/DSC control unit turned out to be the culprit. It was causing both the airbag and ABS warning lights to flip on, causing me a bit of a headache. We initially thought it was a sensor issue too, similar to what you're suspecting, specifically thought it was the wheel speed sensor. But after running a detailed diagnostic on the system, they found out it was the ABS/DSC control unit that was bailed out. And, yeah, I can't sugarcoat it...It was a bit of a serious fix, required a lot of precision and detailed work, which meant the car was in the garage for a good while. It wasn't a quick in-and-out job, that's for sure. Remember though, each car's different in its own ways, and problems vary with make, model, and how much the car has been driven. But whatever it is, get it diagnosed sooner rather than later. Don't mean to worry you, but with these warning lights, it's better safe than sorry. Good luck!
