Megane AC Undervoltage

Hey, I'm having A/C issues with my 2004 Renault Megane (gasoline engine). The air conditioning just stopped working. It doesn't switch on, and the error memory shows undervoltage. I checked the AC relay and couldn't find any issues. Anyone else run into this?

Sounds familiar! I've got a Megane too, and had something similar happen last summer. Did you check for refrigerant leaks? That was my first thought when mine wasn't cooling. How many kilometers are on it?

Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't checked for refrigerant leaks yet, but the mileage is 94831 km. Was your problem also related to undervoltage, or something else entirely?

Yeah, it turned out to be a slow refrigerant leak causing the low voltage error. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop to get the A/C system properly checked out. They'll be able to pinpoint the leak and recharge the system.

Appreciate the advice! I'll take it to a shop. Turns out the A/C compressor was shutting off because of the undervoltage due to a refrigerant leak as you suggested. Repair cost me 240€. Thanks again!
