Megane AdBlue issue no start

Hi, I have a 2018 Renault Megane diesel. The AdBlue tank seems to be empty even though I filled it recently. I get an error message and the engine won't start. Is this a common problem? I suspect the output from the tank to the dosing unit might be defective.

Hey, I had something similar happen with my Megane. Kept getting the service light and a DEF fluid warning, even though the tank wasn't empty. Eventually, the car wouldn't start at all. Did you notice any change in fuel efficiency before this happened? Maybe like a gradual decrease?

No, didn't notice any change in fuel efficiency. Just the error and now it won't start. Was your issue the same, with the car not starting?

Yep, exactly the same. The car refusing to start was the final straw. From what I understand, it's a known issue with the AdBlue system. The repair ended up costing around 250€. To be honest, you're probably best off getting it checked by a workshop. They can properly diagnose it and replace the faulty part. It's a pain, but at least you'll get it sorted properly. It's like having a leaky faucet; you can ignore it for a while, but eventually, it'll flood the whole house.

Thanks for the info. I'll take it to a workshop then. Turns out it was the AdBlue output from tank to dosing unit as suspected. Cost me 250€.
