Megane Airbag Warning Light

Airbag warning lamp lit up in my 2010 Renault Megane (gasoline) at 185446 km. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection. Anyone else experienced this?

I had a similar problem with my Megane. The airbag warning light was constantly on. Check the connectors under the seats. Those are often the culprits.

Thanks! Which connectors exactly, and how should I check them? Don't want to accidentally trigger the airbags.

I'm referring to the yellow connectors under the front seats. Disconnect the battery before you start, just to be safe. Check for corrosion or loose pins. If you're not comfortable, get a workshop to take a look. A diagnostic tool can pinpoint the exact issue.

Thanks for the advice! Took it to a workshop, and you were right; a faulty connector was the problem. Total repair cost was 95€. Your suggestion saved me a lot of diagnostic time!
