Megane audio system failure

Hi, I've got a 2021 Renault Megane hybrid with about 227k kilometers. Recently, the audio system has completely stopped working. There's absolutely no sound coming out of the speakers, no matter what source I select. I've checked the fuses and they seem fine. Any ideas?

Radio silence in your Megane, eh? Bummer! Does the head unit power on and display everything normally, but just with no sound? Have you tried fiddling with the fade and balance settings? Sometimes those get messed up and can cut the sound to all speakers.

Yeah, the head unit itself seems to be working perfectly. I can navigate the menus, switch between radio, and see the display. I did check the fade and balance, but everything looks centered. Could it be a speaker issue even if all the sound is gone?

Hmm, if the head unit’s displaying info normally and the fade/balance are centered, and fuses are good, a total audio loss points away from those simple fixes. It could still be a speaker, but more likely a central component failure, like the amp. I'd say it's best to swing by a workshop; a quick diagnostic check would pinpoint the issue.

Thanks! I brought it to the workshop and you were spot-on – turned out the bass speaker was defective. Apparently, it caused the whole system to shut down. Cost me 280€ to get it replaced. Appreciate the help!
