Megane Climate Control Fault

My 2005 Renault Megane with a gasoline engine has a climate control panel that's decided to take a vacation. Error stored, heating output is weak, and AC refuses to join the party. Suspect a dodgy cable or plug connection. Anyone seen this before?

Sounds familiar. Had a similar gremlin in my old BMW 3 series. Same symptoms – climate control packed it in. Did you check the power supply to the blower motor or maybe the temperature sensor? Those electrical connectors can be a real pain.

Blower motor and temp sensor... I'll check that. But, what exactly was the problem with your BMW's electrical connectors? Was it a specific wire or connector?

Can't recall the exact wire but yeah, it was definitely a bad connection in the wiring harness. Started intermittent, then just died completely. Honestly, I'd suggest checking every connector you can find. If nothing obvious jumps out, a workshop visit might be in order.

Cheers. Appreciate the insight. Ended up being exactly what you said: corroded connector on the blower motor resistor. 95€ and it is sorted.
