Megane Damping Adjustment Error
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Renault Megane diesel exhibited a damping adjustment error, with a warning light on the speedometer and a noticeably bumpy ride. The suspected cause was a defective cable or plug connection. After consulting with others who experienced similar issues, it was determined that a corroded connector was the problem, which was resolved at a workshop.

I thought about the damper, but it seems less likely given the error code points to an electrical fault. With your Volvo, was the fault also intermittent at first?

Yes, it started intermittently. Eventually, it became permanent, and the ride was awful. Given the potential hassle, I'd advise you to have it checked in a workshop.

Thanks for the insight. You were right; I took it to the shop. Turns out, it was a corroded connector, just like we thought. 95€ later, it's fixed.

Sounds familiar. Had a similar issue with my old Volvo V70, although it was the self-leveling suspension on that one. Check the connections thoroughly. Are you sure it's not the damper itself?
