Megane dashboard lights flicker

Hi, I'm having a weird electrical issue with my 2021 Renault Megane hybrid. It has 57116 km on it. I've got a fault in the lighting – the dashboard lights flicker and sometimes stay on even when the car is off. I'm also getting an error stored in the memory. I've checked the dimmer switch and all the fuses seem fine. Any ideas?

Hey, I had something similar happen with my Renault Megane. The lighting was acting up – dashboard lights going crazy. Have you checked the cable and plug connection of the light switch itself? That was the culprit for me.

Thanks for the tip! When you say cable and plug connection, do you mean at the back of the light switch on the steering column, or somewhere else?

Yeah, exactly. The back of the light switch on the steering column. I'd suggest checking if it's properly connected, and look for any corrosion or damage. But to be honest, in the end I just took it to a workshop. They sorted it out quickly.

Thanks for the help! I checked the connection as you suggested, and it looked okay, so I took it to the shop. Turns out you were right, it was a faulty connection! They fixed the cable/plug and charged me 95€. All good now!
