Megane Defrost Air Distribution Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Renault Megane hybrid experienced a defrost air distribution flap issue, leading to suboptimal heating output and an error recorded in the system. Diagnostics suggested a potential defect in the cable or plug connection. A similar issue was confirmed by another owner, who recommended checking the dashboard panel fuse box. The problem was ultimately resolved by addressing a defective cable connection at a workshop.

To clarify, did your symptoms also manifest as a stored error code, and was the eventual diagnosis traced to a compromised cable or plug connection within the air distribution system?

Yeah, there was definitely an error code being thrown. I didn't dig too deep myself, just took it to a shop, but they mentioned something about the air distribution and connections. Honestly, for the sake of not butchering the dashboard panel trying to get to it, you might consider doing the same.

The issue was indeed traced to a defective cable connection, as suspected. A visit to the workshop and an expenditure of 95€ rectified the malfunction. Thanks again for your assistance.

Megane owner here! Sounds familiar. I had almost the same thing happen with my ventilation system. The air was just not blowing where it should, and the heat was weak. You checked the dashboard panel fuse box, right? Sometimes it's just a simple blown fuse causing havoc with the climate control.
