Megane fuel flap issue
Summary of the thread
A 2004 Renault Megane diesel is experiencing a fuel flap release issue, with the flap failing to lock or unlock, and this problem is also affecting other vehicle functions. The error memory indicates a fault, and a defective linkage or faulty actuator is suspected as the cause. A similar issue was resolved by a workshop, suggesting that checking and possibly replacing the actuator might be necessary.

Yeah, central locking is acting strange, although not totally dead. Did you ever figure out exactly what it was, or did you just throw parts at it? Any idea about the electric actuator?

Sounds like the same gremlin! I did some poking around, but honestly, electrics aren't my strong suit. Took it to a workshop, they sorted it out, but didn't give me a super detailed explanation. Said something about a faulty actuator though, so you might be on the right track. Cost me around 200€

Thanks, that's helpful. I'll check the actuator, but probably end up taking it in as well. Seems like it's more involved than I initially thought. I'll post the resolution.

I had something similar happen with my Megane. Couldn't open the fuel door, and it was a real pain. Does the central locking still work? Because mine was acting up at the same time. I tried WD-40, but that didn't do anything.
