Megane fuel pressure sensor issue

Cheers for the reply! So, you reckon it's worth another look at the plug? I gave it a wiggle, but didn't properly test it. What kind of readings should I be getting? And where exactly is the sensor located? I'm guessing it's somewhere on the fuel rail?

Yes, I suggest you focus on the plug and sensor wiring. While I am not able to provide precise electrical values, the sensor is indeed typically mounted on the fuel rail. Given the engine misfire symptoms, a defective signal seems plausible. If troubleshooting the connections doesn't resolve the issue, consulting a workshop for a diagnostic check is advisable.

You were spot on! I took another look at the plug, gave it a proper clean with some contact cleaner, and the problem seems to be sorted! Check engine light is gone, and she's running smooth again. Fuel pressure sensor was indeed the culprit. Cost me 95€ in the end. Thanks for the advice!

I had similar symptoms in my Megane, although I can't recall the exact year. Before you start blaming the ECU, double-check the cable and plug connection to the fuel pressure sensor itself. Often, a poor connection there can cause those issues. Have you used a multimeter to confirm?
