Megane Fuel Sensor Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Renault Megane with a gasoline engine was experiencing a fuel level sensor fault, causing the check engine light to activate and the engine to stall at idle. The issue was traced to a faulty fuse related to the fuel sensor. Replacing the fuse resolved the problem, clearing the error code and restoring normal function.

Fuses, huh? Good point. I didn't think of that. Where exactly would I find the fuse for the fuel sensor? Is it usually in the main fuse box under the hood?

Yeah, on the Corsa it was in the main box under the hood. Check the diagram on the fuse box cover - it should show which one is for the fuel pump or fuel system. Honestly though, even if it's just a fuse, that might be a symptom of a bigger issue. I'd get it checked at a workshop.

Thanks a lot for the tip! Turns out it WAS just a fuse! Replaced it, cleared the error code, and everything seems to be running fine now. The total repair cost was only 52€ for the fuse and the diagnosis. I really appreciate your help!

Sounds familiar. Had something similar happen with my old Opel Corsa, different brand but the gremlins are the same sometimes. Did you check the fuses? Sometimes a simple defective fuse can cause havoc with the fuel sensor readings. That fuel sensor, or level sensor, is sensitive, you know.
