Wheel alignment, huh? I haven't checked that specifically. Would that really cause the power steering to feel like it's failing and the wheel to vibrate, though? Or is it more like a possible side effect?

In my case with the Corsa, the heavy steering feel was because of the sensor. The wheel alignment might be affected too if the sensor isn't reading properly. I would suggest visiting a workshop to get the error codes read. It is better to have someone look at it.

Thanks for the tip! Took it to the shop, and you were spot on - it was the steering angle sensor coding. They replaced the sensor, and everything's back to normal now. Cost me 195€. Appreciate the advice!

Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my old Opel Corsa. Steering became really heavy all of a sudden. Was scary. Did you check the wheel alignment?
