Megane hybrid injector issue
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Renault Megane hybrid with 186,636 km is experiencing hard starts, increased fuel consumption, reduced engine power, rough idling, and occasional stalling. These issues suggest a potential problem with one of the fuel injection nozzles, possibly due to dirt. The check engine light is on, indicating a need for diagnostic testing to identify the faulty injector. A mechanic can pinpoint and replace the specific injector, and using a fuel injector cleaner might help if dirt is the cause. After replacing the faulty injector, the car's performance improved significantly.

Thanks! Yes, the check engine light is on. I don't have the tools, but if I go to a mechanic, can they find the bad injector? I don't want to replace them all if I don't have to.

A good mechanic should be able to find the specific injector. They usually have tools to test each one. Don't worry about them replacing them all without checking! With that many kilometers, it might be good to have the others checked while they're in there. If it's a dirty injector, try a fuel injector cleaner first, but I'd recommend seeing a professional.

Thanks for the information. I took it to my local mechanic today and had the faulty injector replaced. The final repair cost came to 515€. The car now runs like new!

Those symptoms sound like a fuel issue. My old Scenic had something similar, but it wasn't a hybrid. Rough idling and stalling are classic signs. Did the 'check engine' light come on? If so, have you checked the error codes? That could tell you which injector is acting up. A dirty injector is likely!
