Megane Siren Communication Fault

My 2022 Renault Megane electric is throwing a 'siren communication fault' error. Alarm system is totally dead. I'm guessing a dodgy cable or plug, given the mileage (108395 km). Anyone seen this before?

Summary of the thread

A 2022 Renault Megane electric vehicle displayed a 'siren communication fault' error, rendering the alarm system inoperative. The issue was suspected to be due to a faulty cable or connector, likely caused by high mileage. After consulting with others who experienced similar problems, it was resolved by addressing a corroded connector, costing 95€.

Hmm, sounds familiar. I've got a Megane too, though a bit older. Had some weird alarm issues a while back. Was anything else acting up at the same time? Like central locking or anything?

Nah, everything else seems fine. Just the alarm. Did yours throw the same error code?

Can't say for sure about the exact code, but symptoms were similar. Alarm was dead as a doornail. Honestly, I fiddled with it for an afternoon and then gave up. Took it to a shop and they sorted it pretty quick. Probably best to get it checked out, especially with modern car electronics.

Cheers. Appreciate the insight. I took it in. Turns out it was indeed a corroded connector. 95€ later and all good. Thanks again!
