Megane System Readiness Error

I'm writing about a potential issue with my 2020 Renault Megane hybrid, approximately 147535 km on the clock. I've got a persistent error indicating an incomplete system readiness check. It's stored in the error memory, and a message is on the speedometer. I recently read out the error memory via OBD2 diagnostics; could this be the cause?

Summary of the thread

A 2020 Renault Megane hybrid displayed a persistent system readiness error on the speedometer, stored in the error memory. The issue arose after using an OBD2 scanner, which may have disrupted the readiness monitors. A suggested solution was to drive the car under various conditions, but the error persisted. Ultimately, a visit to a workshop resolved the problem, where mechanics performed a system reset using a specialized diagnostic tool.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

I drive a Megane myself and recall facing a similar problem after using an OBD2 scanner. It seems the car's onboard diagnostics system requires a specific sequence to reset the readiness monitors. Have you tried driving the car through various conditions, such as highway speeds and city driving, after the scan?

Thanks for the response. I have driven the car in various conditions since the OBD2 scan, but the error persists. Could you elaborate on the specific sequence or parameters required to reset these readiness monitors? Is there a particular duration or mileage that needs to be achieved under certain driving conditions?

I don't have the exact sequence memorized, unfortunately. The problem vanished after taking the car to a local workshop, where the mechanics performed a reset via the diagnostics tool. It's possible that a more specialized diagnostic tool is necessary to properly reset the system readiness after the OBD2 read.

I appreciate the information and the suggestion to visit a workshop. I took your advice and the mechanics were able to perform a system reset with their diagnostic tool. The cost was 0€! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
