Megane Washer Fluid Sensor Issue

I've got a 2018 Renault Megane with a gasoline engine and I'm facing a strange issue. I'm getting a 'Washer fluid low' warning on the dashboard, even though the reservoir is full. I've checked the fluid level multiple times. Additionally, the windshield washer system isn't working at all now. There's an error stored in the error memory. Has anyone experienced something similar? Could it be a faulty sensor or something more complex?

I had something similar happen with my Megane (don't remember the year). The 'low fluid' light was on constantly, even with a full reservoir, and the washers just wouldn't spray. Drove me nuts! I remember thinking it was the end of the world. Did you try different type of fluid?

So, what was the solution in your case? Did you manage to fix it yourself, or did you have to take it to a shop? And what kind of fluid are you using?

Nah, I'm not really mechanically inclined, so I took it straight to the workshop. They ran some diagnostics and found a fault in the system. I would recommend you to do the same. From what I remember they fixed the fluid level sensor and refilled the tank with the appropriate fluid and the problem went away.

Thanks for sharing your experience! I think I'll head to the workshop as well. It's probably best to get it checked by a professional. Your input gave me the confidence that it is not a huge issue. They found the issue and fixed it for 25€.
