Megane Windshield Wipers Failure

I drive a Megane too, and had something similar happen a while back. Was your cruise control acting up as well? From what I remember reading, it could be a faulty connection somewhere in the steering column. Have you checked the wiring harness around the wiper motor?

Cruise control seems fine, thankfully! Where exactly should I be looking on the wiring harness? I'm not super-techy when it comes to that kind of thing.

Okay, if the cruise control is fine, maybe it's not the exact same issue I had. Honestly, if you're not comfortable poking around the wiring, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. It's probably a faulty connection or a damaged cable, but messing with the steering column wiring is risky if you don't know what you're doing!

Thanks for the advice! Took it to the shop, and you were right. It was a defective cable/plug connection, exactly as you suggested - at a cost of 95€. The windshield wipers now work again!
